On Saturday 29^th October 2011, Ten Hertfordshire Bowlers, with a few supporters, travelled to Adur Bowls Club, near Brighton, to take part in the Home Counties Finals.

They were representing our County in the Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours and they represented us so well that Hertfordshire was in all FOUR FINALS, which  I believe is the first time in the County’s history, in fact it may be the first time any county has been in all four finals.

The games were played in a three hour format which meant our PAIRS side PLAYED NINE HOURS of BOWLS that day, and the singles, Triples and Fours played for six hours. 

Hertfordshire WON in the Pairs and in the Fours and only lost by one shot in the Singles and the same in the Triples.

What a great BOOST for Hertfordshire Bowls, you ten bowlers certainly helped put us on the map.
