" Convincing win for Northamptonshire and disappointing result for Hertfordshire. With the absence of a number of key Hertfordshire Indoor players available for selection for this match it was a disappointing one way affair across the rinks. Northamptonshire deserved to win this match.

Several Hertfordshire players put in good performances but on the day were outclassed by the Northamptonshire team who played very well on the day. We wish Northampton every success as they move forward in the competition.

It is hoped that club players in Hertfordshire will continue to make themselves available for the county team in the Home Counties League programme.                                                                                                                                                       

It is also important to re-iterate that not all of the 2011/12 Liberty Trophy players will be expected/able to play in all of these matches as current rules only allow 12 players in any one match. The support of all liberty trophy players past and present is requested in helping to build teams for the forthcoming HCL matches and future Liberty teams.
